About Danielle

I live in North Attleboro, Massachusetts with my husband Jerry, sons Dylan and Cooper,  cat Lady, and guinea pig Fluffy.  I’ve had a passion for writing since I was very young, and started my first journal on Christmas day 1982.  I was 6 years old.  As a young person, I fed my desire to write by focusing on school and learning French and Spanish.  I went on to major in Romance Languages at Harvard, which presented me with plenty of opportunities to exercise my writing skills!  For my personal expression of writing, I’ve been communicating through letters, keeping journals, and writing really long and interesting emails since I could first write.  As technology evolved, I dreamed of starting a blog, and I held on tightly to this dream for many years.  I started writing blog posts in 2008, and finally launched Natural Mama Notes in September 2014.

Alongside my love of writing, I’ve also been cultivating a passion for health and wellness since I was a teenager.  I became a vegetarian at age 16 and started learning about natural health and holistic medical practices in my early 20s.  I find great fulfillment in coaching others to expand their experience of health, happiness, and satisfaction with their lives.  Over the years I’ve aligned myself with companies whose products and missions I believe in.  I used to just be the crazy lady warning people about the dangers of toxins in plastics via late-night emails (9 months later the government banned BPA in plastics used for children–very validating for this crazy plastic lady!).  I now educate people about the issues of toxins in our personal care products and am proud to be a consultant for Pure Haven Essentials products.  In January 2014 I started learning about essential oils, and continue to expand my understanding of how to use oils for the increased health and wellness of my family.

As it turns out, starting my blog was a catalyst for me to start pursuing my dreams.  In 2015 I went back to school at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition to become certified as an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach.  I graduated in March 2016 and I’m excited to combine my many passions into one career.  I will continue to blog about my journey with its challenges and thrills.  Thank you for reading!
